Shootout at Delaware State University

Posted by T. Waffle on September 21, 2007

I was million % sure that something like this going to take place. I hate media for giving hype to the Virginia Tech shootout, they don’t realize that psycho people gets all their ideas from TV. One sick guy shot 30 people in VT and thousands of psychos all over the world got the idea to do such act. Here is the example not too far from Virginia.
Shooting in Delaware State University, does that mean now schools are the most unsafe place?

DOVER, Delaware (CNN) — Police combed the Delaware State University campus on Friday for a man who shot two students, leaving a woman in a “potentially life-threatening” condition, a school spokesman said.

The university was on lockdown after the shootings near the Memorial Hall sports arena, which university police said were reported Friday at 12:54 a.m. ET .

“Until the suspect is apprehended, students, faculty and staff are being directed to remain in their buildings until further notice,” a school statement said.

The female student was shot twice; the male was shot once, said spokesman Carlos Holmes. They were taken to Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, Delaware’s capital.

Several law enforcement agencies were aiding the search, he said.

Menlo Park Mall Shooting

Posted by T. Waffle on September 10, 2007

Menlo Park Mall was packed with shoppers, and the gunman, carrying a .357 revolver, was hunting for his ex-girlfriend, authorities said.

He found his target, 22-year-old Maliha Janjua, shortly before 9 p.m. Friday, working at the Gymboree children’s clothing store. He opened fire, and Janjua staggered, bleeding, from the store, collapsing amid a crowd of horrified onlookers, authorities said yesterday.

The gunman, Raynell Anaya, 23, then turned the revolver around and killed himself, according to a press release from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. The mall erupted into a panic of shrieking customers.

“I heard people screaming ‘the boy is dead’ then saw her stumble out, all bloody, clutching her throat,” said Faizah Khalid, 17, who works at Bandolino, two stores down from Gymboree.

Anaya, who lived in South River, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Janjua, of Carteret, remained in critical condition last night in the intensive care unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with injuries authorities have described as non-life-threatening.

“She is going to be okay,” said a woman who answered the phone at Janjua’s home but declined to give her name.

It is unclear what precipitated the shooting. Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan did not return calls yesterday and officials at the mall declined to comment, as did members of the victim’s family.

This is simply sad, why in public place? I seriously hate psycho like this guy who tend to give ideas to other psychos. People with mantel illness don’t realize how much terror they spread around the globe by doing this kind of idiotic act. Not only have they given ideas to others who don’t care about the consequences but also scares people who work in mall and live near by. This shows where we stand, public place like mall are not safe anymore.
